895. ARTICLE 95. RESISTANCE, BREACH OF ARREST, AND ESCAPE

10. Punitive Articles

Any person subject to this chapter who resists apprehension or breaks arrest or who escapes from custody shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.

    i am trying to find out what kind of punishment shoplifting on a military base by a military member calls for.

    That’s theft and would be punishable under civil law. Likely UCMJ action would also be taken under conduct unbecoming etc. as applicable to member’s rank etc.
