889. ARTICLE 89 DISRESPECT TOWARD SUPERIOR COMMISSIONED OFFICER

10. Punitive Articles

Any person subject to this chapter who behaves with disrespect toward his superior commissioned officer shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.

    I am curious if this pertains to the Marine that confronted former President Bill Clinton about Benghazi. I was told that a Marine needs permission before addressing a President and/or former President. Is this true?
